ALBA – Services for Jo Ann Hughes, 74, of Alba, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015, at Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, Alba, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. Byron George officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Hughes passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Alba.
She was born July 22, 1941, in Springfield, Illinois, to the late John Lewis and Wilma Eloise Brunart Hughes. She had lived in Wood County 15 years, and was an in home care giver, and a devout Christian.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Daems and wife Rita of Grand Saline, and Jeffrey Lynn Daems of Alba; daughter, Joyce Hill and husband John E. of Alba; brothers and spouses, William and Geraldine Hughes, Waltonville, Illinois, David L. and Christine Hughes, Wilmington, North Carolina, Daniel Richard and Judy Hughes, Phoenix, Arizona, and James Michael Hughes, Taylorville, Illinois; sisters, Sunnie (Laura) Day, Spokane, Washington, Nancy Stevens, Gillespie, Illinois, and Donna Halingstead and husband Andy of Kona, Hawaii; 20 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Hughes; brother, John Lewis Hughes, Jr.
Pallbearers are Gary Hogue, Tracy Carney, Robbie Hill, Cody Rogers, Mark Carney, and Les Sweeden.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday evening 6-8 p.m.
