Gary Blanton

Mr. Gary Niltz Blanton, 72, of Brashear, passed away August 16, 2024, in Greenville. He was born April 25, 1952, in Dallas, to Jeptha Nils and Rachael Junell Dougherty. Gary lived most of his life in the Hopkins County area. He loved to ride his motorcycle and take in all the beautiful scenery. It was an addiction he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a self-made man, working as a screen printer in the clothing industry. He started his own business, Blanton Tex-Style, in 1984. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Kay Miller Blanton.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amy Sharp of Brashear and Amber Sharp of Sulphur Springs; sister, Gayle Armstrong and husband Kenny of Point; five grandchildren, Amanda Carista and husband Nate, Dylan Sims and wife Karol, Koby Sharp, Grant Sharp, and Hayden Sharp; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
