Services for Willie Earl McQueen, 87, of Emory, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, August 19, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will follow in Holland Cemetery, Yantis.
Mr. McQueen passed away August 15, 2024, in Mineola. He was born November 6, 1936, in Rains County, to William Joseph and Ruby Lucille Worthington McQueen. Willie lived most of his life in Rains and Wood County and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Emory. In 1971, He married Nannie Jo Sisk in Rains County. Willie worked 7 years for Wood County and was also a farmer. He enjoyed fishing and coon hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Nannie Jo McQueen; daughter, Eva Joyce; six brothers, Homer McQueen, Bobbie McQueen, Thomas McQueen, Truman McQueen, Billy Joe McQueen, and Russell McQueen; three sisters, Sadie Smith, Maggie West, and Dianna Stogner; two infant brothers, and three infant sisters.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael McQueen and wife Melissa of Winfield and Randal McQueen and wife Jennifer of Omaha; three daughters, Pam McQueen of Pickton, Sabrina Gomm and husband Rick of Oklahoma, and Teresa McQueen of Winnsboro; brother, Connie McQueen of Tuttle, Oklahoma; three sisters, Kathy Turner of Quitman, Kay Roberts of Terrell, Dorothy Isernia and husband John of Murphy; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randal McQueen, Michael McQueen, Dillion McQueen, Garrett McQueen, Justin Early, and Laramie McQueen.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
