Services for Juana Martinez Aguilar, 70, are scheduled for 9 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2025, at Iglesia Bautista Getsemani, Van, Texas, with Pastor Guillermo Ramos officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Aguilar passed away on February 10, 2025, at her home in Grand Saline. She was born on July 14, 1954, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico, to Felipe and Isabel Martinez. She spent her early years in Allende before living in Fayetteville, NC, for five years and eventually settling in Grand Saline, where she resided for the past 30 years. Juana was a devoted member of the Iglesia Bautista Getsemani of Van and worked as a custodian at Grand Saline Middle School for many years. After she retired, she became the family babysitter and took care of all her grandchildren. Juana was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she always took care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Ben Aguilar of Grand Saline; four sons, Mario Aguilar and wife Diana, Armando Aguilar and wife Adriana, Carlos Aguilar and wife Yaneth, Adrian Aguilar and wife Reyna, all of Grand Saline; daughter, Isabel Mendoza and husband Felipe of Grand Saline; eighteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be William Mendoza, Felipe Mendoza, Mario Aguilar, Jr., Angel Palacios, Carlos Aguilar, Micah Johnson, Jose Molina, and Armando Garcia.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at Bartley Funeral Home.
