Memorial services for Mr. Larry Allan Anderson, 81, of Red Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Larry passed away on February 12, 2025, in Dallas, surrounded by family members. He was born on August 7, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, where he spent his early years. In 1964, he married Glenda Ruth Riggle in Dallas. In 1966, he went into the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, until 1968. After his service, he resided in Arlington with his wife and daughter, until making his forever home in Red Oak, for the past 45 years. Larry worked as a general contractor in the DFW area, and if you have stayed in an older hotel in Dallas, he has probably remodeled it. He loved being on the lake, he loved fishing, and loved boating with his grandkids, dragging them around on skies or tubes. He loved four wheeling and just loved being outdoors.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Fred Anderson; mother, Gwendolyn Lucille Bell Graham; brother, Wendell Anderson; wife Glenda Riggle Anderson; and 2nd wife Hazel Parish Anderson.
Survivors include his stepfather, Robert Graham of Lamasco; daughter, Lisa McClain and husband Herman of Red Oak; three grandchildren, Heath McClain and wife Tasha of Alvarado, Garrett McClain and wife Jenny of New Braunfels, and Brandon Berg of Gilbert, AZ; six great-grandchildren, Storie McClain, Ivy McClain, Aria Wiechmann, Ezra Wiechmann, Lillian McClain, and Logan McClain; and numerous other relatives and friends.
