David Arndt

Memorial services for David Arndt, 72, of Grand Saline are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Arndt passed away August 31, 2015 in Tyler. He was born October 17, 1942 in Glencoe, Minnesota to Donald Edward and Rosella Emma Freida Benkowski Arndt. He had lived in Minnesota and Dallas before moving to Grand Saline in 1973. David served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner and operator of B & B Farm Supply in Grand Saline. David never met a stranger, his coffee pot was always on and he loved to sit and visit with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first son-in-law, Jim White.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Arndt of Grand Saline; daughter, Sheila Abrahamson and husband Bill of Fruitvale; three brothers, Eddie Arndt, Jerry Arndt, and Bobby Arndt, all of Minnesota; sister, Ginny Risner of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Jimmy White, Jr. of Van, David White of Grand Saline, and John White of Grand Saline; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
