Services for Richard Axe, 63 of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.
Interment will be in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mr. Axe passed away October 5, 2012 in Grand Saline. He was born August 30, 1949 in Dallas to Ernest & Dorothy Freeman Axe. He spent his early years in Garland and the last 40 years in Van Zandt County where he worked for Wal-Mart. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his former wife, Sue Axe of Edgewood; mother, Dorothy Fuller of Garland; son, Chris Axe of Marshall; daughter, Brandi Miller of Mineola; brother, David Axe of Jefferson; sister, Mary Brewer of Royce City; step-sister, Staci Fuller of Garland; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pete Miller, Jared Miller, Charlie Simpson, Charles McGuire, Raymond McGuire and Neal Hodge.
