Barbara Ayers

Services for Mrs. Barbara Nell Stewart Ayers, 74, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Bartley Funeral Home with Carl McCann officiating.
Interment will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, TX. Mrs. Ayers passed away March 21, 2014 in Grand Saline. She was born May 4, 1939 in Blevins, Arkansas to Elmer Elgery & Eunice Mae Wilson Stewart. She had lived in Grand Saline since 1970 where she attended Lawrence Springs Baptist Church. She had worked as a secretary for a car dealership. She was preceded in death by three brothers, John T. Stewart, Alvin Stewart and W.A. Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Freddie Ayers of Grand Saline; two sons and daughter-in-law, Don & Debbie Maxfield of Grand Saline and Jeff Maxfield of Irving; daughter and son-in-law, June & Tracy Flynn of Alpharetta, GA; brother, Wallace Stewart of Hope, AR; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Maxfield, Ryan Maxfield, Micah Maxfield, Tyler Flynn and T.J. Maxfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Sanderson, Sidney Sanderson, Blaine Griffith and Easton Maxfield.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
