Jo Ann Bell

ALBA – Mrs. Jo Ann Bell, 82, of Alba, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in a Tyler hospice facility.
She was born August 12, 1933, in Golden to the late Curtis and Catherine Wallace Gibson. She married Wilmer Willis Bell August 12, 1948, in Tyler. She lived most of her life in the Garland area and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garland. She was an educator in public education and helped start the Richardson School Library. She was also involved in the Richardson Women’s Club. She loved traveling and had made 13 trips to England.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Wilmer Bell of Alba; brother, Larry Gibson of Golden; nephew, Zachery Gibson of San Antonio; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sue Gibson Deuson.
Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
