Bobby Bennett

Mr. Bobby Earl Bennett, 75, passed away February 9, 2024, at his residence in Grand Saline. He was born August 12, 1948, in Dallas, to Billy Joe and Bonnie Earl Hicks Bennett. He spent his early years in Glendora, CA, before moving to Grand Saline later in life. Bob was a member of the Church of Christ. He enlisted in the US Army in 1967 and was stationed in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged August 24, 1972. Bob had a great work ethic and many skills. He worked as an electrician, a painter, a truck driver, and a dispatcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Joe Bennett, Jr.; and nephew, Nathan Nix.

Survivors include his sister, Brenda Russell and husband Gaylon of Waco; sister-in-law, Teena Bennett of Grand Saline; four nieces; two nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
