Services for Betty Jo Black, 81, of Grand Saline are scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating.
Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
Mrs. Black passed away April 5, 2015 in Tyler. She was born September 3, 1933 in McKinney to Clive and Annie Lou Dickerson Justice. Her early years were spent in Princeton, McKinney, and the Dallas area. On March 5, 1955, she married Charles Gordon Black in Dallas. She has lived the past 42 years in Grand Saline. Betty graduated from Tyler Junior College in 1985 with her LVN license. She worked for Cozby Germany Hospital in Grand Saline for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kathy Sims; one brother; and one sister.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Charles Black of Grand Saline; two daughters, Susan Renea Black Blue and husband William of Grand Saline and Sherry Lynn Black of Grand Saline; one sister, Ruby Sadler of Trenton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be William Blue, Joey Blue, Mike Reid, Payton Black, Mark Gustafson, and Rob Crawford.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m., one hour before the service begins.
