Services for Lucas Draven Blackmon, 19, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 1 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024, at New Testament Holiness Church, with Bro. Mack Swain officiating.

Burial will follow at Shields Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Lucas was born on September 14, 2005, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John Stanley and Alexandria Carroll Blackmon. He grew up in Harrisonville, Missouri, spent four years in Canton, Texas, and the last six years in Grand Saline. A graduate of Grand Saline High School, Class of 2024, Lucas earned honors, completed a certificate through the Kilgore Fire Academy, and was a member of the powerlifting team. He was also a dedicated member of the New Testament Holiness Church.

Lucas is survived by his fiancée, Danielle McClellen, and their son, Draven John Daniel Blackmon, both of Grand Saline; his parents, John and Alexandria Blackmon of Grand Saline; grandmother, Teresa Duvall of Grand Saline; brothers, Jacob Blackmon of Columbia, Missouri, and Noah Blackmon of Grand Saline; and sister, Bethany Blackmon (Matt Phillips) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He is also remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Blackmon, Mary Vogel, and Rick Carroll.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Lucas’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
