ALBA – Services for Dennis Ray Bohannan, 54, of Alba, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Cottonwood Assembly of God Church, Alba, with Bro. Nick Kerry officiating.
Burial will be in Golden City Cemetery, Golden, under direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Mr. Bohannan passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at his residence.
He was born November 5, 1958, in Gladewater, to Beacher Douglas and Hazel Clara Phipps Bohannan. He married Marilyn Yandle July 22, 1977, in Hawkins, and was a brick mason in the construction industry. He had lived all of his life in the Alba-Golden area, and was a member of Open Door Church, Alba.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Bohannan of Alba; mother, Hazel Clara Bohannan of Alba; son, Dennis Ray Bohannan, Jr. and wife Lauren of Golden; daughters, Mary Denise Pearce and husband Judd, of Lone Oak, and Clara Abigail Gilliam and husband Cary of Alba; brothers and spouses, Danny and Janiece Bohannan, Gary and Karen Bohannan, and Randy and Debbie Bohannan, all of Alba; sisters, Sandra Thompson of Alba, Sharon Miller and husband Bill of Oklahoma, and Lynda Wilburn of Alba; and six grandchildren, Logan Culp, Laynie Culp, Aiden Gilliam, Allyie Gilliam, Lily Bohannan, and Paisley Bohannan.
He was preceded in death by his father, B.D. Bohannan; and brother, Benny Darrell Bohannan.
Pallbearers are Doug Bohannan, Dwayne Thompson, Doug McBride, Dustin Bohannan, Todd Yandle, and Chip Weissert.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening 5-7 p.m.
