LONE OAK – Services for Iva Lee Bowman, 85, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Bro. Robert Cook and Bro. Danny Calk officiating.
Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery under direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Ms. Bowman passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at her residence.
She was born March 6, 1931, in Hunt County, to the late Earl and Maudie Lee Gowins Vice. Iva lived most of her life in the Lone Oak area. She loved working outdoors, decorating her house for Christmas, and helping plant Crepe Myrtles in downtown Lone Oak. She was a very caring and loving mother. Family was very important to her.
Survivors include her two sons, Danny & Terri Bowman of Lone Oak and Dwayne & Elizabeth Bowman of Quinlan; two daughters, Diana O’Neill of Lone Oak and Darlene Bland of Lone Oak; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas Bowman; and brother, Bobby Vice.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
Family visitation will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church.
