Brenda Jo Badgley (Pope)

Services for Brenda Jo Pope Badgley, 76, of Dallas, are scheduled for, 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Meadow View Church of Christ in Mesquite, with Mike Hisaw officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Salem Cemetery in Alba.

Mrs. Badgley passed away July 29, 2026, in Dallas. She was born February 14, 1950, in Dallas, to Joe Rose and Maggie Pearl Morris Pope. She lived most of her life in Dallas and was a member of Meadow View Church of Christ in Mesquite.

On July 30, 1966, she married the love of her life, Ronald Jim Badgley, Sr., in Dallas. Together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, building a family rooted in faith and love.

Brenda's greatest joy was serving the Lord Jesus. She loved attending church, reading her Bible, writing heartfelt poems, and sharing scriptures and artwork with family and friends every morning and evening. She always ended her messages with a simple reminder: "Make sure to pray."

She also enjoyed watching cooking shows on YouTube and had a gift for caring for others. Family and friends affectionately joked that she "played doctor" because she always seemed to know when someone was sick and had a remedy to help them feel better. Brenda never met a stranger and was known for the many stories she loved to tell. Her kindness, wisdom, unwavering faith, and generous heart touched countless lives.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia Jones; daughter, Carrie Jo Badgley; and son, Ronald Jim Badgley, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ronald Badgley, Sr.; son, Ryan J. Badgley and wife Elizabeth of Forney; two daughters, Pamela G. Badgley of Dallas and Tina R. Badgley of Dallas; brother, Ronald E. Ford of Quinlan; two sisters, Diane Collins of Mesquite and Linda Spence of Dallas; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Nguyen, James Young, Ryson Badgley, Ryan Badgley, Patrick Ryan, Danny Ryan, and Abel Ryan.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, one hour prior to service time at the church.
