Barbara Britton

Ms. Barbara Denine Britton, 61, of Alba, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, in Grand Saline. She was born April 17, 1964, in Marshall, to Jackie Willis Britton and Clysta Jean Evers Britton.

Barbara spent her early years in Longview before moving to Alba eight years ago. A devoted member of Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, she lived a life filled with compassion, faith, and love for children. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Development from Kilgore College and dedicated 24 years of her life to caring for the “terrible twos” at First Baptist Church of Longview, where she touched countless young lives.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jackie Willis Britton, and her brother, Jesse Britton.

Survivors include her mother, Clysta Britton of Grand Saline; brothers, Jackie Britton of Hawkins and Roger Britton of Harleton; sister, Zelda Britton of Alba; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many cherished friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harleton, under the direction of the church and family.
