Services for Eva Nell Brown, 87, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Paul Stanley and Kyle White officiating.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories Cemetery, Canton.
Mrs. Brown passed away November 10, 2014 in Quitman. She was born February 9, 1927 in Fruitvale to Marvin Francis & Loney Viola Hayes Spillers. She spent all of her life in Fruitvale where she was a member of Lawrence Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd “Sam” E. Brown; grandson, Russell Lynn Smith; three sisters, Betty Jean Denton, Johnnie Gladys Hawkins and Francis Brown; father, Marvin Spillers; and mother, Viola Hayes Spillers.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Floyd Earl & Cora Brown of Grand Saline; daughter and son-in-law, Davis Jean & Lloyd Michael Hogue of Fruitvale; four grandchildren, Marty Glynn Smith, Floyd Earl Brown Jr. and wife Wendy, Jeffery Wayne Brown, and Jason Wade Brown and wife Chrissy; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Rash, Sheb Smith, Darren Smith, and Joe Henson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marty Smith, Floyd Earl Brown, Jeffery Brown and Jason Brown.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
