Pamela Burges

Services for Pamela Jo Burges, 78, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. James Neidholt officiating.

Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery.

Mrs. Burges passed away September 16, 2023, in Grand Saline. She was born February 1, 1945, in Dallas, to Joseph & Marcette Dunning Crawford. Pamela’s early years were spent in Dallas, where she married her husband, Herman Burges, in 1969. Pamela was an LVN for 40 years. She spent the last 37 years in Grand Saline. She loved to travel, especially to destinations such as, Colorado, New Mexico, and the Grand Canyon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Cristi Lee Carroll; and son, Gregory Neal Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Herman Burges of Grand Saline; two sons, James Wilson and wife Angie of Forney, and Troy Burges of Grand Saline; daughter, Marcella Smith and husband Derek of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, Joseph Crawford and wife Cathy of Dickinson, and Kenneth Crawford of Grand Saline; seven grandchildren, Wendy Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Mandy Carroll, Brittany Pugh, Jonathan Phelps, Emily Kemp, and Rhonee Quinones; five great-grandchildren, Julian Coonrod, Jack Coonrod, Raleigh Brundidge, Rhythm Belvail, and Sutton Wilson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Smith, Phillip Kemp, Jonathan Phelps, Grady Smith, Earnest Veach, and Steve Stamper.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
