Services for Jackie Ray Busbee, 85, of Emory, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Woody Weimer officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba.
Mr. Busbee passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his residence in Emory. He was born February 3, 1939, in Alba, to Herman Ray and Bonnie Fay Brickey Busbee. Jackie lived most of his life in the Alba area. In 1989, he married Betty Lou Nunnally at Open Door Church in Alba. He was an avid pool player, a dependable friend, and an honest man. Jackie loved his family dearly. He served in the US Army and also worked as a carpenter for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Busbee; sister, Doris Busbee; son, Patrick Busbee; and grandson, Landon Busbee.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Betty Busbee of Emory; daughter, Judy Busbee and Brandon Jones of Emory; three grandchildren, Taylor Ruiz, Parker Jones, and Mason Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Jones, Matthew Swindle, Woody Weimer, Daniel Busbee, Glenn Valentine, and Nate Grosso.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
