Services for Dorothy Marie Butler, 91 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler passed away March 16, 2014 in Grand Saline. She was born January 30, 1923 in Edgewood to Will & Clarence Edgar Hays. She spent most of her life in Van Zandt County where she was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church and owned/operated Butler Produce stand for 40 years. She married Leb Butler October 5, 1940 in Emory. They had been married for 70 years at the time of his death. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leb Butler; sisters, Juanita Nabors, Gladys Monk, Evie Henson and Rosalie Wynn; and one brother, Bud Hays.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Leb & Essie Butler of Grand Saline; two daughters and son-in-law, Patsy Marie & Glenn Smith of Golden and Billie Turner of Wills Point; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Turner, Brian Turner, Todd Turner, Larry Leo Butler, Derrik Halbert and William Henson.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
