Services for Emily Byrum, 25 of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Bartley Funeral Home with Joshua Harrell officiating.
Burial will be in Green Family Cemetery, Tyler, TX.
Emily Byrum passed away April 6, 2013. She was born April 29, 1987 in Tyler to Charles & Candy Jo Clower Byrum. She spent most of her life in Andrews before moving to Grand Saline four years ago. She was Church of Christ and was baptized in 2002 at Mountain View Christian Camp in New Mexico. She was an avid reader and writer, and loved poetry and music. She also played the piano and guitar. Emily was on the swim team in high school and spent many summers boating on Lake Tyler. She loved to make people laugh, had a very creative personality and loved cats. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Young Byrum; and grandfather, Glen Clower.
Survivors include her grandparents; Ruby Clower of Grand Saline, James Byrum of Tyler; and Naomie Byrum of Zionsville, IN; mother, Candy Jo Byrum of Grand Saline; daughter, Avery Jewel Byrum of Grand Saline; brother, Derrick Young Byrum of Tyler; uncles and aunts, Chuck & Elizabeth Clower of Grand Saline, Jody & Joanie Mayne of Grand Saline, James & Jonna Dail of Edgewood, Jon & Lori Byrum of Zionsville, IN and Roy & Terah Rutledge of Winona; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Byrum, Barry Harbison, Jared Mayne, Wesley Mayne, Josh Self, Andy Clower, Randall Hill and David Byrum.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
