Services for Helen Zene Dudley Cain, 94, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Alba, with Dr. Kelly Burton officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Cain passed away March 9, 2025, at her residence in Alba. She was born June 25, 1930, in Beckville, to James Burford and Lena Blanche Garrison Dudley. On June 24, 1951, she married Dr. Glen T. Cain in Alba. She lived in Houston for 27 years, before moving to Alba 35 years ago. While in Houston, she enjoyed performing in the choir at Second Baptist Church, she was also involved in other music activities in her church and directed the school choir. Helen graduated and received degrees from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton and from Baylor University in Waco. She taught school for 37 years and was a current member of First Baptist Church, Alba. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Dr. Glen T. Cain; foster son, Gary Rose; sister, Katie Beth Noneman; and nephew Patrick Spriggs.
Survivors include her two nieces, April Wilcox of Alba and Kriste Kline of Lawrenceville, GA; and nephew, Shawn Spriggs of Reed City, MI.
Pallbearers will be Tom Neal, Bryan Holland, Travis Littlejohn, Levi Littlejohn, Scott Reynolds, and Shane Reynolds.
