ALBA – Services for Lana Claudine English Canada, 48, of Alba, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Alba, with Chaplain Randall Ator officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Canada passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, in Dallas.
She was born Sunday, February 16, 1969, in Dallas, to John Davis and Lois Beatrice Goheen English. She married Dennis Ray Canada on March 18, 2017, in Sulphur Springs. Lana was a Registered Nurse and worked for Dignity Hospice in Dallas and One Point Home Health in Dallas. She lived the last 5 years in Sulphur Springs but lived most of her life in the Alba and Emory area. Lana was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Canada of Sulphur Springs; mother, Lois English of Alba; son, Aaron and wife Kasey Canada of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Tasha Potts of Emory, Latona English of Alba, Shelby and husband Jason Swanson of Lubbock, Marlee Canada of Rockwall, Layci Sneed of Alba, Bailey Haggerty of Sulphur Springs, and Kacie Freeman of Greenville; and grandchildren, Jaxon, Adyson, Gideon, Abigail, Briggs, Jesse, and Davis.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. English.
Pallbearers will be Gary Gonzales, Mike Theil, Dr. Brian White, Jason Swanson, Alan Mundrake, and Danny Weems.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
