Mary “Mom” Cannon

MINEOLA – Services for Mary Frances “Mom” Cannon, 86, of Mineola, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Friday July 5, 2013, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with Rev. Larry Kromer officiating.
Burial will be in Golden Cemetery.
Mrs. Cannon passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in a Tyler hospital.
She was born May 6, 1927, in Golden. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and had lived in the Sand Springs area for 53 years. She attended the Church of the Nazarene of Mineola. She was involved with the Bill Glass Prison Ministry; Bunny Martin Ministry, Reaching America’s Youth; and Les Castro Ministry, Faithful Friends. She was also the treasurer for Golden Cemetery Association.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Woody and Cheri Weimer of Mineola; two granddaughters, Yvonne Pierce and husband Jeramy, and Cynthia Weimer, all of Mineola; three great-grandchildren, Robert Pierce, Rachel Pierce, and Crystal Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Woodrow Wilson Weimer in 1968, and Gordon Henry Cannon; brothers, John Christopher, Paul Christopher, James Christopher, and Joe Christopher.
Pallbearers are Bob Daniel, Curtis Phillips, Mike Smiley, Doug Franklin, Jack Ballard, and Gary Williamson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, 5-7 p.m.
