Graveside services for Albert Carson, 69, of Mansfield, formerly of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Woodside Cemetery with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mr. Carson passed away September 17, 2013 in a San Antonio hospital. He was born January 17, 1944 in Dallas. He and his wife, Donna, lived in many places while he worked in the oil field and then settled in Mansfield. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. Albert was preceded in death by his father, Jack Morgan; Mother, Genie Elder; brother, Buddy Morgan; sister, Susie Morgan; father-in-law, Donnie Posey; and nephews, Sam and Joey Morgan.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Donna Carson of Mansfield; sons, Daniel Carson of White Settlement and Vernon Carson of San Antonio; mother-in-law, Mary Posey of Mansfield; three brothers, Sam Morgan and Jackie Morgan, both of Grand Saline, and Charles Morgan of Mena, Arkansas; sister, Betty Jean Carson of Bend, Oregon; five grandchildren, Colton, Dolton, Vernon Jr., Deblynn and Taylor; one great-granddaughter, Eden; brother-in-law, Donnie Posey Jr. of Mansfield; best friend/cousin, Bobby Ship of Dallas; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
