Marlin Casey

Services for Mr. Marlin Lee Casey, 97, of Canton, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Bartley Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery.
Mr. Casey passed away February 21, 2015, in Tyler. He was born June 25, 1917, in Grand Saline, to Raymond Reuben & Minnie Belle Dearing Casey. He spent most of his life in Van Zandt County where he worked as a custom cabinet builder and graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1937. He also spent many years farming and drove school buses for Canton ISD during the 50’s and 60’s. Mr. Casey was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 68 years, Syble Norene Blue Casey; three brothers, Ozell Casey, Arlie Casey and A.J. Casey; and three sisters, Oree Casey Cross, Lerline Casey Neal and Merline Casey Strickland.
Survivors include three daughters Ada Lee Casey Bass of Canton, Lynn Casey Midgette and husband Bill of Herndon, VA, and Betty Casey Hadley of Canton; six grandchildren, Delayne Karen Bass of Red Oak, Jonathan Wesley Bass of Longview, Lela Norene Bayliss of Rowlett, Cullun Andrew Bass of Canton, Tammy Lynn Blank of Nacogdoches and Jennifer Marlene Hadley of Canton; eleven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three nephews and five nieces; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bass, Danny Bayliss, Damon Blank, Cullun Bass, Wesley Bass, Michael Bass, Danton Blank, Dalton Blank, Dagon Blank, Derian Hadley, Casey Bass, Jeremy Bayliss and Jered Bayliss.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery.
