Services for Gerald Dee Chaney, 77, of Quinlan, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Chaplain Robert Stovall and James Grady officiating.
Interment will be in Starr Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Mr. Chaney passed away May 4, 2025, in Commerce. He was born March 3, 1948, in Dallas, to Erbie Dee and Johnnie Grace Moncrief Chaney. He spent most of his life in Quinlan, before moving to Greenville six years ago. Gerald was dedicated to his career as an OTR truck driver and worked the last sixteen years for Grady Trucking. He loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed surprising them with gifts he would pick up at various truck stops. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry Stovall Chaney; and two brothers, Charles Chaney and Eddy Don Chaney.
Survivors include his brother, Ronnie Chaney and wife Sharon of Grand Saline; sisters, Kathy Wright of Canton and Linda Yancy of Edom; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Wright, Brady Brown, Raymond Chaney, T.J. Wood, James Grady, and Teresa Grady.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
