Johnnie Grace Chaney

Services for Johnnie Grace Chaney, 84, of Mt. Vernon, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Bro. Jerry Pruitt officiating.
Interment will be in Starr Cemetery.
Mrs. Chaney passed away May 20, 2014 at a nursing home in Mt. Vernon. She was born February 27, 1930 in Eldorado, OK to James Edward & Ova Sarah Ann Cumbie Moncrief. She spent her early years in Dallas, over 40 years in Grand Saline and last 8 years in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of Brookside Baptist Church and loved to play bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Erbie D. Chaney in 1984; two sons, Eddy Don Chaney in 1980 and Charles Chaney in 1990; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron & Sharon Chaney of Grand Saline and Gerald & Betty Chaney of Quinlan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy & Billy Jack Yarbrough of Mt. Vernon and Linda Yancey and Virgil Nelson of Murchison; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Wright, Curtis Wright, Matthew Besherse, Clinton Chaney, Brady Brown, James Sanders, Sr., Timmy Woods and Bryan Chaney.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
