Services for Mrs. Charlotte Sue Tull Ballow Watson, 85, of Canton, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline. Interment will be in Cool Springs Cemetery, Canton.

Mrs. Watson passed away November 20, 2025, at her home. She was born September 14, 1940, in Canton, Texas, to Weldon Gee and Maggie Arvalene Hendley Tull.

In her early career, Mrs. Watson worked in the mailroom for Chance Vought, where her beautiful face became internationally recognized through an advertisement the company created for a school supply drive. She later enjoyed a long tenure in advertising sales, working with several area publications including the Mabank Monitor, Van Banner, Van Zandt News, and Wills Point Chronicle.

Mrs. Watson loved to dance and was known for being an exceptional housekeeper. Her lively spirit, humor, and the many adventures she found herself in earned her the affectionate nickname “Lucy,” after the beloved character from I Love Lucy. Her big personality left an impression on everyone who knew her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenneth Tull; sisters, Virginia Ward and Judy Bush; sister-in-law, Linda Tull; brother-in-law, Fred Bush; husband of 41 years, Olen Ray "Jack" Ballow; and grandson, Jameson Watson.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, David Watson of Canton; three sons, Douglas Ballow of Canton, Chad Ballow of Canton, and Michael Watson of Sugarland; two daughters, Ramona Ballow Rose of Canton, and Amber Watson of Kilgore; son by choice, Neal Don Byars of Canton; brother, Keith Tull of Athens; sister, Angie Shepard of Arlington; twelve grandchildren, Dylan Ballow, Dalton Ballow, Jacob Fincher, Jory Wilder Robertson, Jody Wilder, Rebecca Ballow, Julia Ballow, Levi Watson Cain, Tatum McKay, Michael Ferguson, Aryan Watson, and Beckham Gholson; eight great-grandchildren, Aly Servin, Alexis Servin, Brynlee Robertson, Bowen Robertson, Ryder Jax Wilder, Naomi Rain Wilder, Kashton Wilder, and Ava June Ballow; and numerous other relatives and friends.
