Judy Chitty

Services for Mrs. Judy Lynn McBride Chitty, 75, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Cheatham Memorial United Methodist Church, Edgewood, with Pastor David McGlocklin officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Interment will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Edgewood.
Mrs. Chitty passed away December 2, 2021, in Tyler. She was born August 7, 1946, in Edgewood, to Jack Carlus & Wilma Mae Neely McBride. She married Randall Chitty September 5, 1968, in Wills Point. Judy lived in Germany for 3 years and Ft. Hood for a year, during her husband’s military career, and then spent the rest of her life in the Edgewood area. She was a member of the Eastern Star and also served as Scout leader for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She enjoyed cooking and baking and had made birthday cakes over the years for so many people. She and Randall were foster parents for 25 years and had fostered 35 kids during that time. Judy is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carlye Mae Grissom; and brother, Gayther Dale McBride.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Chitty of Edgewood; sons, Michael Chitty and wife Kim of Edgewood and Kenneth Wayne Cummings Jr. of Killeen; daughter, Angel Marie Cummings of Edgewood; brother, Jackie McBride of Wills Point; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Greg McBride, Ross McBride, Shane McBride, Carlus McBride, Rodney Stevens, and Randy Mills.
The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
