Ms. Cheryl Louise Clark, of Edgewood, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Cozby-Germany Hospital in Grand Saline after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 24, 1958 in Grand Saline to Gordon and Brenda Clark. She was raised in Grand Saline by her devoted grandparents, Sam Savage and Helen Murphy Savage. She was a 1976 honor graduate of Grand Saline High School and a 1978 graduate of Tyler Junior College in Tyler where she was an active member of their respective band programs. She also attended The University of Texas at Tyler. In 1982, she moved to Dallas, TX working as an accounts representative for 21 years. Her hobbies included photography, travel and flying. She loved music of all kinds and played trumpet and guitar. She attended the Cathedral of Hope Church in Dallas and played in their performing orchestra and traveled with the Oaklawn Marching Band. She retired from United Health Care Systems in 2003 and moved to Edgewood, TX.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Joyce Savage Bryant, her maternal grandparents, Sam and Helen Savage; and her paternal grandparents, Davis Shelton “Bill” and Myrla Clay Clark.
Survivors include her father, Gordon Clark of Grand Saline; Uncle Sammy Savage and his wife Ruth of Grand Saline; sisters, Vonnie Bryant of Canton, Donna Bryant of Dickson, Tennessee, Le’Ann Minor of Tyler, and Nancy Clark Harvey and her husband Jerry of The Colony, TX; brother, Tom Bryant of Grand Saline; five nieces, a nephew, one grandnephew and numerous cousins.
