George Clark Jr. 64 ALBA, TEXAS
George passed away on Thursday February 20, 2014. He succumbed to a heart attack doing one of his most favorite things, playing golf. He was born in Highland Park, Illinois, on October 20, 1949, to George and Frankie Clark. In 1971 he married the love of his life, Jane. Jane and George lived in Lake Highlands where they raised their three children. He was an independent commercial real estate broker for many years and also served on the Board of Governors at Royal Oaks Country Club.
In 2006 Jane and George moved permanently from Dallas to East Texas where George spent many hours fishing with his friends on Lake Fork, entertaining at their farm in Alba, riding his Harley and loving life. He maintained his ice house and worked side by side with Jane in their business ventures. Everyone that met
him could immediately see his zest for life with those sparkling blue eyes, white hair and great smile. He was one of the world’s funniest people. His humor and smile were contagious. Though his life may have ended too soon, it was a life complete in so many ways.
George is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane; daughter and son-in-law Shannon and David Stirling, and grandbaby Stirling (to arrive any day); daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Charlie Vago, grandchildren Charlie and Preston; and his son George III. He is also survived by his father, George B Clark, siblings Brian, John, Tom, Mary and Andy, a large extended family and huge circle of friends. The family will hold a private memorial Sunday February 23, 2014.
