Ludie Hope Clark
ALBA – Services for Ludie Hope Clark, 96, of Alba, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home chapel, Alba, with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating.
Graveside service will be in Bogata Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Clark passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, in a Mineola nursing home.
She was born Monday, February 17, 1919, in Red River County, to the late William Hoover and Mattie Stella Scarbrough Howland. She married Jessie Leon Clark on July 13, 1935, and lived most of her life in Red River County. She moved to Rains County in 1992 from Dallas. She was a housewife and member of Spence Park Baptist Church in Balch Springs.
Survivors include her son Harold Dean “Sonny” Clark of Alba; daughter, Mary Swan Winkle and husband R.J. of Alba; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 8 brothers; 3 sisters; daughter, Carolyn Hope Clark; grandson, Jessie Clark; and daughter-in-law, Margeret Clark.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Family visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 6-8 p.m.
