Claire Adrian Cobern

Services for Claire Adrian Cobern, 77, of Mineola, formerly of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Bartley Funeral Home with Pastor Parkey Cobern officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Cobern passed away November 17, 2014 at her home in Mineola. She was born November 30, 1936 in Edgewood to William Fredrick & Clara Mae Osburne Jones. She spent most of her life in Grand Saline where she taught school for 15 years and owned/operated “The Show” movie theatre for several years. For the last 34 years, she had also owned/operated several restaurants. Claire was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Adrian; and brother, Willie Fred Jones.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Dale Cobern of Mineola; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Adrian & Santos Rodriguez of Grand Saline; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Parkey & Rhonda Cobern of Ft. Worth and Brad & Sandy Cobern of Mineola; brother and sister-in-law, Gaylon & Margherite Jones of Ruthven, Iowa; sister, Martha LaPrade of Grand Saline; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bert Carver, Brad Cobern, John Carver, Santos Rodriguez, Gary Wicks and Ricardo Perez.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the funeral home.
