Services for Evelyn Joyce Pope Coggins, 83, of Irving, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Layne Keele officiating.

Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mrs. Coggins passed away October 6, 2024, at her sister’s residence in Irving. She was born March 9, 1941, in Alba, to Barney Ray and Annie Lee Roach Pope. Evelyn lived most of her life in Irving before moving to Denison 30 years ago. She had just recently returned to Irving, within the last year. She worked as an LVN for over 40 years. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 10 years, James Coggins; infant twin sister, Linda Floyce Pope; two sons, Michael Holloway and John Paul Percell; and infant daughter, Thelma Ann Percell.

Survivors include her son, Ernest Percell of Caney, OK; two daughters, Kailie Percell of Houston and Pamela Cockrum and husband Larry of Aubrey; and two sisters, Kay Davis of Irving and Janet Keele and husband Larry of Lawrenceburg, TN; three granddaughters; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
