Vicky Cole

Vicky Curtis Cole, 73, of Grand Saline, passed away March 18, 2025, in Tyler. She was born March 29, 1951, in Wichita Falls. Vicky moved around a lot growing up and then spent most of her life in the Athens area, before moving to Grand Saline about six months ago. She retired from the Athens Daily Review after more than 25 years of service as an advertising graphics designer. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader.

Vicky is preceded in death by her father, James Curtis; mother, LaNoma “Pee Wee” Gore; and sister, Cindy Scott.

Survivors include her two sons, Donny Henson of Fruitvale, and Steven Henson of Grand Saline; sister, Ginger Shehane of Athens; half-brother, James Curtis of Grand Saline; six grandchildren, Alexander Henson, Amber Henson, Alex Henson, Brooklynn Henson, Piper Henson, and Brian Massey; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
