ALBA – Michael Eugene Colegrove, 53, of Alba, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015, in a Quitman hospital. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements are with Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
He was born August 9, 1962, in Orange County, California, to the late Royce Leon and Bonnie Jo Pruitt Colegrove. He lived most of his life in Alba. He was a good caretaker and had a big heart for helping others. He worked in the ceramic tile business.
Survivors include: sons, Dustin Potter and wife Tanya of Quitman, Logan Colegrove and Bryce Colegrove both of Grand Saline; daughters, Laura Murphy of Malakoff, Lacy Colegrove of Greenville, and Holly Hale and husband Brandon of Grand Saline; brothers, Preston Colegrove of Terrell, Billy Colegrove and wife Vicki of Forney, and Carl Colegrove and wife Kara of Alba; sisters, Rita Miller and husband Johnny of Mount Pleasant, Kathy Potter of Balch Springs, Carol Cox and husband Danny of Seagoville, and Bonita Bennett and husband Ricky of Alba; 5 grandchildren, Makayla, Gage, Ryder, Brantley, and Landon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Melvin Colegrove and Ronnie Colegrove.
