Linda Collard

Mrs. Linda Viann Thompson Collard, 78, of Quitman, passed away September 5, 2023. She was born June 24, 1945, in Tyler, to Thad McDavid and Elizabeth Ann Stewart Thompson. Vi, as she was known to most, was a longtime resident of Quitman, previously living in Tyler. She served many years as an employee of the city of Tyler and the state of Texas. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, fishing, and driving her Corvette “Ray”. Vi was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 44 years, George Douglas Collard.

Survivors include her son, Todd Williams, and wife Dee of Flint; sister, Ileice Baker and husband Al of Tyler; grandchildren, Dustin, Erika, Bailey, and Ryleigh Williams; great-grandchildren, Rhealynn, Eli, and Parker Marie; nephews, Nathan and Ethan Luman, dear cousins and dear friend, Matt Greenlaw.

The family is holding a gathering to celebrate the life of Viann.
