Jewell Collier

ALBA – Services for Jewell Ruth Collier, 91, of Alba, are scheduled for 12:00 noon Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Bro. David Taylor of Walnut Street Baptist Church, Winnsboro, officiating.
Burial will be in Golden Cemetery, Golden.
Mrs. Collier passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012, in a Arlington hospital.
She was born December 2, 1920, in West Texas to the late Ed and Mary Davis Prather. She was reared in the Cottonwood Community and spent most of her life in Wood County. She was a dedicated mother, housewife, and member of Northside Baptist Church in Mineola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C.L. Collier April 19, 1985; son, Leon Collier; daughters, Joni Allbritton, and twins Linda Gail and Brenda Nell; five brothers; six sisters.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Troyce and AnnMarie Collier of Lockhart; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Larry Horak of Grand Prairie; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
