William Collier

William Murray “Buzz” Collier, 67, of Grand Saline, passed away December 10, 2012. He was born November 22, 1945 in Grand Saline, Texas to W.R. and Eugenia Collier. He was a cattle rancher and investor. Buzz was a past Board Member of First National Bank of Grand Saline, Cozby-Germany Hospital and the Grand Saline Youth Foundation. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved the outdoors. He was well known for his avid love of history. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Elaine Ask.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Ross Collier. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Barbara; daughter Jennifer Collier Maynard and son-in-law Phil and granddaughter Helen, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Betty Collier of Longview and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 at Bartley Funeral Home with Brother Mark Winskie officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Troy Harrison, Wayne Sloan, Chris Bell, Robert Bates, Dan Navarre, Tommy Wade, Lance Caffey and David Bessonett.

Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
