A memorial service for Ms. Dorothy Lee Corvin, 72, of Golden, has been scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Golden Methodist Church, under the direction of her friends and family. A meal will follow the service, and all are welcome to attend.
Dorothy passed away December 27, 2022, at her residence. She was born April 26, 1950, in Wythevillle, VA, to the late James Paul and Bertha Lee Wright Corvin. She was known, affectionately, as the “Pie Lady” to the surrounding communities, baking pies for the local cafés, restaurants, and individuals during the holidays for many years. She was loved by the Alba-Golden community and will be deeply missed.
Although she was an only child, she is survived by many cousins, including, Joe Cox Wright of Independence, VA, Larry Wright of Knoxville, TN, Gladys Gott of Kingsport, TN, Patsy Shupe and Mary Dills of Galax, VA, Linda C. Bowles, Karen Corvin Kegley, Brenda Corvin Ingoe, Martha Corvin Ballard, and Cindy Corvin Hedrick all of Wytheville, VA, Troy Corvin of Hillsville, VA, Bill Corvin of Martinsburg WVA, and Katherine Carter of Coppell; aunt, Mary Ann Corvin of Wytheville, VA; nephews, Steven Felty, Gary Felty, and John Felty all of Golden; great-nieces, Irelynn Felty and Raylee Felty; and numerous other relatives and friends.
