Michael Countryman

Services for Mr. Michael Glynn Countryman, 65, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Carl McCann officiating.

Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Mr. Countryman passed away August 5, 2024, in Tyler. He was born November 28, 1958, in Dallas, to Glyndon & Bettie Mixon Countryman. He grew up in the Lake Lavon area and graduated from Community High School, Class of 1977. He spent the last 35 years in Grand Saline where he was a carpenter. Michael is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his two sons, Chad Countryman and wife Stephanie of Canton, and Colby Countryman and wife Michelle of Grand Saline; daughter, Lucy Mayne and husband Jared of Grand Saline; brother, Kevin Countryman and wife Misty of Grand Saline; two sisters, Connie Bowden and husband David of Mineola, and Donna Slavens and husband Buster of Grand Saline; ten grandchildren, Emma Countryman, Kyle Countryman, Gracelyn Countryman, Morgan Countryman, Jolie Countryman, Bryce Henry, Brennan Henry, Landon Mayne, Carson Mayne, and Luke Mayne; three great-grandchildren, Kylen Countryman, Kohen Countryman, and Honey Henson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chad Countryman, Colby Countryman, Jared Mayne, Justin Slavens, Keith Slavens, and David Bowden.

Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Slavens, and Kevin Countryman.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
