Ofeal Cox
ALBA – Services for Opal Ofeal Cox, 86, of Rising Star, formerly of Alba, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba, with Mr. John Ratliff officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Alba.
Mrs. Cox passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, in a Brownwood hospital.
She was born November 12, 1926, in Merkel, to the late Samuel and Gracie Belle Harvey Nutt. She was reared in the Alba area and lived there until she married Claude L. Dagley and moved to the Dallas area in 1946. They had four children. She married Delton Cox on September 22, 1977, and they lived in Balch Springs and Forney. She was a homemaker, a hairdresser/beautician, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Claude and Sharon Dagley of Terrell, and Carl and Pam Dagley Sr. of Scurry; daughters and sons-in-law, Marquleta and Aldon Westbrook of Rising Star, and Melissa and Larry Moore of Forney; 11 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, D.C. Cox 11/11/2012; step-son, Charlie Cox; three brothers; three sisters; grandson, Christopher T. Moore.
Pallbearers Clint Dagley, Carl Dagley, Jr., Chantz Dagley, Chad Dagley, Mark Westbrook, and Richard Westbrook.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.
