David Smith

David Lee Smith, 74, of Grand Saline, passed away July 26, 2026.  He was born July 5, 1952, in Grand Saline, to Jack & Eva Lee Smith, where he lived all of his life.  He spent many years working with ICEE Corporation and loved fishing with his son, Blake, and tinkering with old classic cars. David had worked with his dad at Smith's Drive-In Grocery in Grand Saline.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jack Smith, Jacqueleen Walker, and Juadeen Nolan.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Melissa Savage Smith of Grand Saline; son, Blake Smith and wife Anna Chantae of Piedmont, OK; step-daughter, Shantelle Denby and wife Racheal Reynolds of New Hampshire; two sisters, Edwyna Rumbo of Terrell, and Janie French of Winston-Salem, NC; granddaughter, Addilyn Blakley; and numerous other relatives and friends.
