LONE OAK - Services for Annie Valeria Davis, 94, of Irving, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015, at Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home chapel, with Bro. Mark Slaughter officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Land Memorial Park, Greenville, under direction of Bartley’s Lone Oak Funeral Home.
Mrs. Davis passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015, in a Irving hospital.
She was born September 3, 1921, in Hopkins County, to the late John Lester and Lillie Bell Byrd Hunt. She was reared in Lone Oak and married Billie Joe Davis on September 15, 1946, in Rockwall. She moved to Irving in 1956. She had an associate degree in Food Service Management and worked for the Irving ISD, and was a member of Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving.
Survivors include son, Joe Harve Davis, Irving; sister, Oleta Price, Irving; sister-in-law Mary Hunt, Lone Oak; granddaughter, Amy Kourpouanidis and husband Nick; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1976; son, John Charles Davis in 2008; and brother, Charles Hunt in 2011.
Pallbearers are Thomas Hunt, C.T. Hunt, Lester Hunt, Roy Don Erwin, James Earl Carter, and Trent Erwin.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
