Services for Margarita De La Rosa, 83, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Main Street Baptist Church with Bro. Jose Amaya officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.
A private graveside will follow at Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. De La Rosa passed away November 14, 2021, in Tyler. She was born June 10, 1938, in Monterrey, Mexico. She spent her early years in Mexico, then moved to Dallas. Margarita moved to Van Zandt County in 1972, where she was a member of Iglesia Bautista La Fe in Grand Saline. She had worked at Mea nursery in Lindale for many years. Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Olivares and Ingnacia Banda; husband, Andres De La Rosa; granddaughter, Sandra De La Rosa; two sisters, Alicia Niño, and Amada Garcia; and two brothers, Jose Olivares and Mario Palacious.
Survivors include her two sons, Jose De La Rosa (Angela) of Grand Saline and Andres De La Rosa (Dawn) of Grand Saline; five daughters, Nelly Rivera (Jose) of Ben Wheeler, Hilda Neal (Lynn) of Grand Saline, Elisa Maciel (Raymond) of Grand Saline, Billie Strietzel (Marcus) of Allen, and Nancy Reynoso (Bibiano) of Grand Saline; two brothers; twenty-nine grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jose Rivera, Jr., Raymond Maciel, Jr., Richard Rivera, Mark Maciel, Michael Neal, Andres De La Rosa, III, Jason Maciel, and Brandon Maciel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bradley Maciel, Jason De La Rosa, Karsten Strietzel, Kailer Strietzel, Robert Rivera, Roy De La Rosa, and Jeremiah Smith.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the funeral home.
