Johnny Denton, Sr.

Services for Mr. Johnny Lee Denton, Sr., 73, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home with Gerald Denton officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Denton passed away June 15, 2020, in Tyler. He was born June 30, 1946, in Dallas, to Henry Lee & Betty Jean Spillers Denton. He lived most of his life in the Grand Saline area where he worked in construction. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lagina Pearce; brother, Charles Ray Denton; and sister, Dorothy Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shirley Denton of Fruitvale; son, Johnny Denton, Jr. and wife Darlene of Alba; daughter Angela Soules and husband Claude of Fruitvale; two brothers, Kenneth Denton and Gene Denton, both of Fruitvale; twelve grandchildren, Cody Denton, Dustin Soules, Kelly Soules, Neal Plumlee, Ozzy Denton, Tiffanie Denton, Johnathon Denton, Emily Denton, Lily Davis, Brock Pearce, Alicia Davis and Eric Denton; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cody Denton, Ozzy Denton, Dustin Soules, Charles Denton, Garet Mullins, Neal Plumlee and David Wilson.
