Services for Ethel Mae Holley Dickerson, 76, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Neeley officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Dickerson passed away May 18, 2024, at her home in Grand Saline. She was born April 21, 1948, in Dorchester, to William T. and Alice Marie Allen Holley. On March 15, 1968, she married Douglas Dickerson in Mineola. Ethel lived most of her life in Grand Saline and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Tole Painters Society and took part in making the ornaments and decorating the Christmas Tree at the White House in Washington DC. These ornaments were later displayed at the Smithsonian National Museum. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeremy Dickerson, and brother, Donnie Holley.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Douglas Dickerson of Grand Saline; two sons, Nathan Dickerson and wife Vicki of Mineola and Andy Dickerson and wife Cheryl of Grand Saline; three brothers, Willie Holley and wife Marie of Tenaha, Jim Holley of Whitehouse, and Robert Holley of Kaufman; two sisters, Mary Conner of Winnsboro and Jeanie Jennings of Fruitvale; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
