Services for Kenneth Glenn Dickerson, 83, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Fleming officiating.
Interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Dickerson passed away August 13, 2024, in Tyler. He was born September 10, 1940, in Grand Saline, to Jerral and Lettie Steele Dickerson. Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Grand Saline, where he graduated from Grand Saline High School, Class of 1959, and was a member of Silver Lake Baptist Church. On February 8, 1974, he married Nelda Goodson in Edgewood. Kenneth was an avid cowboy. He owned and operated his ranch in Silver Lake and was a custom hay baler for many years. He also enjoyed playing 42 at the Mineola VFW whenever he could. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 35 years, Nelda Goodson Dickerson; daughter, Bobbie Valdez; brother, J.W. Dickerson; and two sisters, Christine Dickerson Clements and Frances Dickerson Pritchett.
Survivors include his two daughters, Cassie Snyder and husband Bobby of Grand Saline and Karen Dickerson of Grand Saline; two brothers, Doug Dickerson of Grand Saline and Jerral Dean Dickerson of Grand Saline; five grandchildren, Candice Carney, Callyn Bowen, Kamryn Dickerson-West, Justin Betz, and Jared Betz; three great-grandchildren, Claire Carney, Jasen Bowen, and Emmett Bowen; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Goodson, Wade Wood, Andy Dickerson, Justin Dickerson, Dillon Carney, and Johnathan Goodson.
