Graveside services for Mrs. Thelma Jo Dooley, 89 of Plano, formerly of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Creagleville Cemetery with Carl McCann officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Dooley passed away July 6, 2012 in McKinney. She was born July 19, 1922 in Wichita Falls to J. F & Lora Matilda Maxwell Coffman. She grew up in Wichita Falls, Dallas and Childress. She spent most of her life in Fruitvale before moving to Plano in 2005. She was a member of Springcreek Church of Christ and had always been very active in her churches. She enjoyed the entertainment activities at the Plano Senior Citizens Center and loved playing dominoes with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Lewis Dooley; four sisters, Natalie "Toppie" Bittick, Mary Williams, Thalia Harris and Reva Rae Leach; and two brothers, J. Frank Coffman and Mackie Coffman.
Survivors include her son, Lewis Leon Dooley and wife Mary of Athens; two daughters, Reva Sue Dooley Noland and husband Tim of Shreveport, LA and Natalie Gale Dooley Madden and husband Jim of Plano; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
